Concepts of cookies
Cookies are a tool used by web servers to collect and retrieve information about their visitors or users.
It is nothing more than a text file that some servers install during navigation and which allows them to know information such as: the place and device (fixed or portable) from which you are accessing, the connection time, the operating system and browser used, the pages that you visit the most, the number of clicks made and data regarding the user’s behaviour in the Internet.
They do not provide references that allow the user’s name and surname to be deduced and they cannot read data from your hard disk or include viruses on your computers.
Likewise, they cannot read the cookies implanted in the user’s hard disk from other servers.
Why are they important?
From a technical point of view, cookies allow websites to work easily and more adapted to user preferences, such as storing the language, the currency of the country or detecting the access device.
They establish levels of protection and security that prevent cyber attacks against the website or its users.
They allow media managers to know statistical data collected to improve the quality and experience of their services.
They are useful for optimizing the advertising we show to our users, offering the most suitable one, according to their interests.
The user can configure his or her browser to reject all cookies by default or to receive an on-screen warning of the receipt of each cookie and decide whether or not to install it on his or her hard disk.
This acceptance may be revoked through the content and privacy configuration options available in the browser settings. The owner recommends its users to check the “help” page of their browser or to access the “help” websites of the main browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome.
Different cookies used on this website
The user browsing the web can find cookies inserted directly by the holder, or cookies inserted by other entities.
* Session cookies expire when the user leaves the page or closes the browser; they are active for the duration of the visit to the website and are therefore deleted from our computer when we leave it.
* Persistent cookies expire when the objective for which they serve is fulfilled or when they are manually deleted. They have a certain duration and are normally used in the process of online shopping, personalisation or registration, so that you do not have to constantly enter a password. Depending on the entity that manages the computer or domain from which cookies are sent and processes the data that is obtained, we may distinguish between our own cookies and third party cookies.
* Own cookies are those cookies that are sent to the user’s computer and are managed exclusively by us for the best operation of the website. The information we collect is used to improve the quality of our service and your experience as a user.
* Third party cookies. When the user interacts with the content of our website, third party cookies may also be set (for example, when pressing social network links or watching videos hosted on another website). These cookies are set by a different domain to our website. We cannot access data stored in cookies from other websites when you access them.
